Mu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. uplifted our heritage during our February Chapter meeting and dressed the part in colorful fashion.  We wished everyone a Happy Black History Month – Enjoy the culture!

Mu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. had a Marvelous, Lively and Outstanding time celebrating our 45th Chapter Anniversary during the event MLO 45! We were joined by family, friends, supporters and AKA leadership on a beautiful sunny day to acknowledge the contributions of MLO to the Sorority and to highlight our impact in the community.

Far Western Regional Director Shelby Boagni brought greetings and congratulated MLO on this milestone anniversary. The 24th Far Western Regional Director and MLO member Barbara Denson Trotter highlighted notable accomplishments, including the successful submission of Ambassador Susan Denise Page for induction as an honorary member into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Our beloved Charter members recounted memories of how the visionary 36 members came together under the leadership of our first president, Barbara Williams. Vice Mayor of Culver City Yasmine-Imani McMorrin provided insights of how MLO has been a supporter of Culver City Schools and is civically engaged in Culver City.

We danced, we connected and we toasted to 45 years of sisterhood and service in the West Los Angeles and Culver City communities. Thanks to everyone who came out and who supported the event through your donations to uplift our community programs. Here’s to 45 more years of supreme service to all mankind!
