SUMMARY:MLO Serves for the 2022 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count
DESCRIPTION:Join Alpha Kappa Alpha\, Sorority\, Inc\, Mu Lambda Omega Chapter for the 2022 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count on Thursday\, February 24\, 2022 from 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. The Homeless Count is an annual community-wide undertaking that counts our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness. According to the Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority\, “structural racism causes Black people to be 4x more likely to experience homelessness.” MLO is committed to fighting social injustices through direct service\, policy and advocacy and participating in the Count is a demonstration of our commitment. We need your help — no one should have to sleep outside. \nPre-register by February 19\, 2022 here: https://bit.ly/HOMECOUNTMLO We will follow up with additional logistics for all who register. Training on the process will be provided. \nPlease mark your calendar for a brief training meeting to be held virtually on Monday\, February 21\, 2022 at 6:30pm. Your adult (18+) friends or family are welcome to participate.
