DESCRIPTION:It is officially that time of year again for some Spring cleaning.  If you have bundles of papers to shred or items to responsibly discard\, please join our Enhancing Our Environment committee on Saturday\, March 23\, 2024 for a drive through event at 3800 Crenshaw Blvd LA\, in front of the Sentinel Newspaper to bring your recyclables.  This event is being hosted by Councilmember Heather Hutt\, Los Angeles Sanitation\, Public Works and Shred-It USA. \nMLO will be onsite from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Shred your confidential documents 9am-12:30pm only.  The waste disposal is from 9:00am – 3:00pm.  All are welcome!  See you there! \n  \nHere is a list of items you can bring to discard: \n• Medications/Syringes/Sharps\n• Gasoline/Fuels/Motor Oil/Oil Filters\n• Lubricants\n• Antifreeze\n• Solvents/Paint Thinners\n• Tires (limit 9)\n• Aerosol Cans/Paints/Stains\n• Pesticides/Herbicides\n• Glues/Adhesives\n• Florescent Light Bulbs\n• Mercury Thermometers\n• Fire Extinguishers\n• Compressed Gas Tanks/Propane Tanks\n• Electronics \nWhat NOT to bring: \n• Containers over 5 Gallons in size\n• Ammunition/Explosives\n• Asbestos Materials\n• PCB-Related Materials\n• Medical/Biological Waste\n• Radioactive Waste\n• Business/Commercial Waste\n• Construction Waste\n• Fireworks/Marine Flairs\n• Bulky Items/Furniture
