SUMMARY:The Arts! Youth and Diversity Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:The MLO Program target “The Arts” has launched MLO Arts In Motion or MLOAIM\, a new Performing Arts Club for middle school youth!  They will learn about the arts\, experience different forms of art and express themselves artistically. \nThe first outing is on October 26 at 9am – Youth Diversity Film Festival sponsored by the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center.  As part of the 25th Annual African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase\, young filmmakers and emerging young directors from middle school and high school will showcase their skills\, talent and vision through film screenings\, while giving the audience a chance to view and discuss the artistry\, passion and sacrifice involved in the independent filmmaking process.  For the public\, tickets are $5 for youth\, $10 for adults. \nMLOAIM will provide a limited number of tickets to youth that would like to attend and join the club!   If you would like to refer a young person 6th grade or above\, email us at ivyandhearts@yahoo.com with the name and contact info of your young person and we will respond with additional details. \nDon’t miss this awesome FREE opportunity to see films created for and by youth!  Deadline to confirm for tickets is Oct 22nd! \n
