SUMMARY:MLO Hosts Discussion After LA County Budget Town Hall Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority\, Inc® Mu Lambda Omega Chapter\, Los Angeles County is finalizing its budget for the upcoming year.  Did you know that Los Angeles County is cited as “the nation’s largest municipal government with more residents than most states. And a multibillion-dollar budget that’s bigger than that of Kansas\, Montana and Vermont—combined.” This means lots of dollars and potentially lots of impact. As residents\, it’s important that we understand how homelessness\, poverty alleviation and environmental health are prioritized in the budget. \nAlpha Kappa Alpha Sorority\, Inc.® Mu Lambda Omega Chapter will participate in Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell’s budget town hall on Monday\, October 24 from 6 to 7:30pm then hop on a separate Zoom call (from 7:30 to 8:15 pm) to discuss debrief and discuss the impact on our community and work of Alpha Kappa Alpha. \nPlease join us for this event. It is an opportunity to show our support to Supervisor Holly J.
