The Derby Day Fundraiser is a vibrant, high-spirited celebration of camaraderie, community, and culture — where elegance meets excitement. More than 400 distinguished guests, adorned in stunning spring fashion, sharp pastel suits, crisp seersucker blazers, and bold, show-stopping hats, will gather in the legendary “City of Champions” for one of the most spectacular and highly anticipated Kentucky Derby celebrations on the West Coast.
Attendees will indulge in an unforgettable afternoon filled with the funky sounds of live soulful R&B and Pop, a lavish buffet-style spread, a premium fully stocked bar, and a spirited Men’s and Women’s Best Dressed Contest showcasing dazzling Derby flair. The energy will build as guests experience every thrilling moment of the Kentucky Derby through a live video feed, capturing the pageantry, tradition, and heart-pounding excitement of the race in real time.
Proceeds from Derby Day LA directly support Project Alpha, which includes the acclaimed Alpha Jr. Gents youth mentoring program and provides scholarships for high school seniors preparing for college as well as signature Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. programs and scholarships designed to uplift and support our youth while promoting the health and wellness of our community. Contributions are tax-deductible and make a lasting impact on our community.
