Pink Goes Red: Soul Line Dancing for Heart Health Brings Community, Movement, and Purpose to Los Angeles

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®—Theta Mu Omega Chapter, in partnership with The Pink Tea Rose Foundation, will host the 16th Annual Pink Goes Red community event on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Southwest College Gymnasium in Los Angeles.

This year’s event centers on soul line dancing as a powerful and accessible way to promote heart health, wellness, and community connection. Hosted by J&J Soulful Steps, Pink Goes Red blends movement, music, and mission to raise awareness and support for cardiovascular health—an issue that disproportionately impacts Black communities.

Pink Goes Red is part of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s ongoing commitment to service, health education, and community uplift. The event also serves as a health fair, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in wellness-focused activities while supporting life-saving organizations.

Supporting Heart Health Causes

A $5 donation is suggested, with proceeds benefiting either:

• The Black Heart Association, or
• The American Heart Association

Attendees may donate directly using the event links and are also encouraged to donate socks to participate in the event’s opportunity drawing, adding an additional layer of community impact.
