On Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Mu Lambda Omega Chapter volunteered at the annual MLK Day Clothing Drive & Community Breakfast hosted by Big Sunday. Chapter members participate in this signature event to mark Alpha Kappa Alpha’s “We Are One – AKA Day of Service,” honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Mu Lambda Omega greeted community members, passed out event gear, and helped sort & distribute hundreds of new and gently used clothing items to those in need. This year, MLO recognized the meaningful impact this day of service could have for local LA County communities reeling from the devastating wildfires.
