Congratulations are in order for Soror Stacy Thornton of Mu Lambda Omega Chapter. She is the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Soror Stacy is a 4th grade teacher at Loyola Village Elementary School. The Teacher of the Year program celebrates excellence in teaching by recognizing teachers who inspire a love for learning in their students and who have distinguished themselves as leaders among educators. It is evident that, as an educator, she is dedicated to her profession, has an inspiring philosophy on teaching, and is committed to increasing her students’ progress and successes. Simply put, she loves teaching and loves her students.
Soror Stacy is also the Chairman of Target #4: The Arts! Committee. In her role as Committee Chairman, she is well underway in providing exposure to arts enrichment and culture for students in her 4th grade classroom and to local area students that attend Mu Lambda Omega Chapter’s sponsored art-infused learning activities, led by The Arts!
