Monique Hunter, a Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mu Lambda Omega Chapter, was awarded the Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) award at the 96th Far Western Regional Conference of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in Oakland, CA. in recognition of her transformative leadership in the organization, exemplifying service and innovation. As a former Strategic Planning Committee Chairman and Program Initiatives Committee Chairman for MLO, she led the chapter to multiple regional awards and expanded its global footprint with impactful projects that reached as far as Ghana and Haiti.
She was instrumental in growing the chapter’s endowment fund from $10K to $47K and increased annual philanthropy levels to $50,000 at the Ivy Centennial Foundation, Inc. where serves as Fund Development Chairman.
Through visionary leadership and dedication, Monique continues to uplift MLO and the community, embodying our motto, “Service to All Mankind.”
