Mu Lambda Omega Chapter and the Ivy Centennial Foundation’s annual signature event, the 2019 Hot Pink Affair: Pearls Behind The Mask, was a rousing success! MLO members and guests donned their beautiful masks in keeping with the Hot Pink masquerade ball themed evening.
MLO Chapter President, Akilah Wallace, shared with the audience the collaborative efforts of Mu Lambda Omega Chapter, The Ivy Centennial and the Maurice Amado Foundation to provide educational scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors. Fundraising events, such as the Hot Pink Affair, also allows MLO, with the support of the Ivy Centennial Foundation, to host impactful and award-winning activities and events in the communities we serve.
The 24th Far Western Regional Director, Dr. Barbara Denson Trotter, who is also a member of Mu Lambda Omega Chapter, shared her noteworthy remarks for the occasion.
After guests dined on a wonderful meal in the beautifully decorated ballroom that included pink and green lighting, DJ Q-Nice commenced to get the crowd on their feet and to the dance floor with his mix of old and new school music. It was also a wonderful time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
