MLO members and ASCEND scholars participated in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 2nd Annual Diversity Conference entitled Bridging the Cultural Divide: Beyond Evidence-Based Practice in Diverse Communities on April 9, 2016. It was an informative event that explored mental health and approaches to treatment in communities of color which had a profound impact on our scholars. One scholar connected with a psychologist that offered to link her with internship opportunities!
