MLO Participates in Black Heritage Stamp Unveiling of Constance Baker Motley

Mu Lambda Omega joined with several Los Angeles area AKA chapters to participate in the unveiling of the latest Black Heritage Stamp for our esteemed Sorority Sister Attorney and Jurist Constance Baker Motley. She was a key architect for desegregation and was the first Black woman to try a case before the Supreme Court and went on to win 9 of 10 Supreme Court cases. She was also the first Black woman to sit as a federal judge, among many other firsts. We were joined by Ambassador and retired US Congressmember Diane Watson, Councilmember Heather Hutt and the Postmaster Jeremie Six. It was a wonderful celebration to uplift the life and accomplishments of Constance Baker Motley during Woman’s History Month.
