Mu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was honored by the Inglewood City of Champions Lions Club as a community leader for our work to support their major Vision Initiative, which serves the blind and the visually impaired. Our years-long relationship, led by Golden Members Katie Webb and Janet Britt and Chairman Monique Hunter-Dennis, resulted in MLO collecting over 950+ pairs of glasses and readers. The glasses that we donated supported deserving community members throughout the greater Los Angeles area and reached as far as Lagos, Nigeria. So proud of MLO’s Uplift Our Community Initiative team for years of collaborative work with the Lions Club!
