Mu Lambda Omega had a chapter outing to the new Hilltop Coffee & Kitchen location to support the opening of this black-owned business in the heart of downtown Inglewood. The spacious, beautiful decor is the perfect spot to connect with friends, have a delicious bite to eat and of course a fabulous cup of coffee or tea. Over 30 sorors and family descended in a pink and green takeover to patronize Hilltop! Speaking with MLO President Akilah Wallace and Vice President Andria Hancock-Crear, owner Yonnie Hagos (an Inglewood native) expressed his appreciation for our support and loved having us in the space! This location is also co-owned with Ajay Relan and Issa Rae (of HBO’s Insecure). ‘We are all in this together’ is etched on the wall and it is definitely a collective effort. This space is long overdue in our community and with our support it will be here to stay!
