It was a marvelous day to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.! Mu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. joined other chapters to represent our sisterhood in the 38th Annual Kingdom Day Parade, complete with television coverage moderated by our Soror Leslie Sykes of ABC Channel 7. MLO continued the MLK Day of Service by joining with volunteers from around the Southland at Big Sunday to create warm weather clothing packs for underserved Angelenos. MLO ended an impactful day with lunch enjoying each other’s company while supporting a black-owned restaurant. Dr. King said ‘Anybody can serve.’ And serve we did in the spirit of common purpose and joy!!
