Mu Lambda Omega presented a powerful conversation filled with positive awareness about why HBCUs are so important. Our distinguished panel – Malaika Billups, Diane Wilson Moore, Dr. Thelma Day and Dr. Lakieta Emanuel participated in an engaging discussion, led by moderator and MLO HBCU Chairman Tosha Bright, that uplifted the benefits and the unique experiences of an HBCU education. The take home message is that the confidence, support, connections and commitment to success that students get from an HBCU gives them an unmatched foundation that serves them no matter what field of study they pursue or which educational institutions they attend subsequently. The adults and high school students that attended left with bountiful information and pearls of wisdom about how students can take advantage of all that HBCUs have to offer.
