MLO observed the first AKA Caregiver’s Day Community Impact Day of the new Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service Program by hosting a call-in seminar entitled Caregiving. Learning how to navigate the caregiving role, while taking care of ourselves, is one of life’s most challenging experiences. Dr. Ebere Ume and Dr. Sharon Cobb of Charles R. Drew University discussed the latest research and practical strategies for providing care for our families and loved ones. Attendees found it very illuminating and helpful, and we look forward to providing additional information and resources for caregivers as a result.
